We are so excited to be just 10 weeks from our little one’s arrival. I cannot believe how fast things have gone. It seems like only yesterday we were about to head home for Christmas and were surprised by the unexpected news. This past weekend we drove 6 hours back to our hometown in Ohio for a beautiful baby shower thrown by both Donnie’s and my mothers and sisters. I LOVE helping with the planning and design for parties, so when I was not allowed to have a hand in the decor or plans for my baby shower I was trying to think of how I was going to gracefully pretend that I loved everything to make people feel appreciated for their hard work. When I walked in, I instantly started crying. No pretending was necessary…everything was SO sweet and beautiful and cohesive. I truly, truly loved EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. I even was surprised by my little sister who made a trip up from Florida for the occasion! Am I one lucky gal or what?! Donnie and I are beyond thankful for all the hard work and time they put into making their vision come alive and were blown away by the generosity and love from all the family and friends who came to the shower and blessed us with gifts and prayers. (We also appreciated all the people who couldn’t make it and sent their love our way). One of my favorite parts of the day was when a few special ladies stood behind me and said prayers for the baby and me. So sweet. I’ll never forget the special celebration of our future arrival.
Here are a few snaps from the special day followed by my plans for maternity leave. 🙂
With the baby on her way, I do have plans to take maternity leave from August through the beginning of October. I will slowly be taking on clients for holiday photos in October. Be sure to let me know if you are interested in securing your time in some of my limited spots.
I can’t wait for how this new little one is going to influence the way I see and capture the world around me. Life is getting sweeter with each and every day.
